Gold rims on the lightning yellow?

Anyone have any opinions of some gold rims on the lightning yellow car, Im trying to look at some rims for the car and I'm not really sure what I want to do as far as rims and wheels.

I was looking at The Kosei K3 Gold Emery 19" wheels but I don't know, is there a picture of a LY with gold rims anywhere so i can compare??? The stock rims aren't reallly horrible, I just would like to personalize the car a little bit

Don't do it! Gold probably won't look good on yellow. I suggest either black, gunmetal, silver, or maybe even chrome. Black rims on a Lighting yellow would look the best IMO.

I think it looks alright... but Panspeed has a full body kit also... If your car is all stock, it may look a little funny.

Best looking wheels for LYs in 2015?

Hi everyone.
Resurrecting an old thread for 2015 opinions.
I am considering new wheels for summer tires and keeping my stocks for winter.
I would like any opinions on what might look the best, and who may have the best prices/service.
While black wheels would probably be a popular choice, I'm not really impressed with the look, and they probably wouldn't be my first choice.
Admittedly, I haven't seen many pics of different ones, so I am open minded.
18" with TPMS.
Thanks for any input.

Do you think bronze is a good choice?
It was CT's bronze 5Zigen's that got me thinking how they would look.

I'm more of a fan of a darker gunmetal color. I haven't seen many pics of LY with different wheels tbh

Me either.
I actually like the stock wheels, but those 5Zigens have me thinking about something different.
I was already thinking about this when I had those new Potenza AS tires break loose on a hard stop Friday.
I'm thinking about getting some nice performance tires for summer, but I'm not crazy about swapping tires twice a year.

Is there a particular brand or style that you like?

Enkei are cheap and good. Find a couple designs (any brand) you like and I'm sure the guys in the B@W thread can find you good ones in the right size/specs

Do not do gold, yuck. And black is played out. Enkei's are a great wheel for the price, I have had several sets.

I love multispokes too

Is gold the same as bronze?
I piggybacked this one because I didn't want to start a new thread.
I like those platinum ones at the top.

This is one of my favorite RX-8's of all time and I don't particularly even like LY. These are BBS LM replicas (lame) but with some real LM's this would be legit as hell.

These are real BBS LM's

Those are nice.
I'm partial to the 5 (10?) spoke look, but I'm starting to warm up to that multispoke look.

The multispoke in a concave specification is sick and if I don't get BBS LM's I plan on getting a multispoke setup.

I meant the BBS, not the Golds.
So gold is not the same as bronze, right?
What exactly do you mean by multispoke?

Is painting the car an option? Other than purple nothing really looks all that good with yellow other than silver or black.

Have you considered just going with a polished (not chrome) look? I'm thinking of the Series I Shinka color.

No, the color is the main reason I even considered it.
I wouldn't have bought one in another color.

I like the stock wheel, which I would consider 'brushed' or matte.
I just recently started thinking about aftermarket wheels, so I'm still not sure exactly what I'll do.
In my mind & our business, 'polished' is shiny like chrome.
Btw, the last set of wheels I bought were Keystone Klassics for my '69 Javelin in 1977.
Over $400 for the set, which was huge money for wheels back then.

Gold is not bronze. Bronze is more brown. You know gold when you see it. I don't think gold /bronze + yellow could look good.

Multi spoke is >10 spokes. The ones you like are called split 5 spoke.
