Does anybody know anyhting about these tire's? FALKEN FK452
This is Falken's newest tire ,replaceing the FK451.
I have a set of the FK451's and like them alot. Was wondering what if anything anyone has heard of these new tires ?

im currently using the FK451 too, and i heard the FK452's are really good!

Just fitted some last week (235/40/18s) - good so far but have not really given them a hard time yet .

So I just got the Falken FK 452's tonight , 245/40ZR-18's.
Tommorow the test 400+ miles. Phoenix to Irvine.
So far they seem quiter and smoother riding than the same size FK451's.
Almost seems as if the side wall is not as rigid ,hence the smoother ride. But the test will be in the corners.

Any further updates from long-term users? Kumho ECSTA SPT is another highly regarded Ultra High Performance Summer choice in bargain price category. Time to replace my SPT, just wanting to explore the available choices. Based on TireRack testing, Fuzion ZRi, Avon M500, General Exclaim UHP, and Yokohama ES100, are less stellar than SPT when combining road/track performances.

Federal 595RS is tempting, though it competes with Falken Azenis R615/Hankook RS2-Z212.

almost 1000 miles on my FK452's, they are much quieter than the RT615's I had before, and sidewall seems to be decently stiff, not too much sidewall flex during hard cornering, will report back after this weekend as i take it to the track.

Hankook should really get its acts together. There is a total of 13 sizes available, no 225/45 or 245/40, just 235/40 being the closest choice. It's also priced higher than Falken R615, guess autoxers/RX-8s are not on their targeted clientele list.

We went on a run to Mingus Mountain In Arizona. It has some of the best twistie's in the State. I think it is like in the top ten in the US. I did push the car very hard and they stuck like glue. I heard a small squeel a couple of times coming over some rises under hard braking into some turns, but that was it. I left everyone else in the dust.
Got about 15,000 miles on them now. And the tread might have gone down about 25-35%.
All in all this is a tire I Would Buy Again!

Any words? Love to hear your thoughts regarding on-track performance & daily driving comparison between Azenis and Fk452.

heh, well the weekend i drove them on track, it rained all weekend, so i can't tell you how well they hold up after a full session of dry hot lapping, but I can tell you in the wet, they are pretty good, even when driving over standing water at 80mph lol

as for street driving, they have been excellent, VERY quiet, and I have noticed more grip as the weather warms up to above 60 degrees, i will report more later

btw have 3000 miles on them now, very pleased with them so far.

better than the stock tires by leaps and bounds, I never knew how well my car handled until I got the 452s, the car turns like it's on rails and the steering no longer tramlines every 20 feet. And for the price it's unlikely you'll be able to find anything better.

i just bought these tires today..they are great!

I have had mine for around 5000 miles on them and I love them. I like the smoother ride than my Toyo Proxies 4's by far and they grip 100 time better. Wet handling is fantastic as well. Still have at least 70% treadwear left on the rears. And can report they do well and don't lose traction much when the temps drops below 40, now if it's wet and cold watch out a bit. But not bad.

The Z1 Star Spec is an Extreme Performance tire (at 200 UTQG) basically designed to be competitive in autocross in street tire class, as well as being a great track day tire. It's about as much performance as you can get without dipping into R-compound tires.
The FK452 is a good (300 UTQG) street performance tire which won't have as much ultimate grip or lateral stiffness as a Z1 Star Spec, but it's basically all the tire you need for the street, and it will last you longer than a set of Z1's.

these tires are the SHIT... for the hardcore autocrosser. unbelievable traction :)

tirerack doesnt sell Falken's. does anyone know the best or cheapest place to get the 452's?

Holy thread resurrection Batman! I must say I do like the tire. But on the track I think I want something a little more sticky. So the next set will be the Falken 615's.

Three minutes of work and I already checked Zoom's links and found onlinetires.com beats both of their prices. Next time search. Ain't that hard.
