DD Coil-Overs?

So I am starting to sell parts and was first looking into getting lowering springs and then dampers, but why not just do it all at once? I have a few options flashing through my mind and I am not looking to spend a fortune, just enough for a good drop, and a firmer ride compared to stock suspension. I have a few options in mind, and I was opinions. Note, I am not ever going to race my car, just as a street car that can have an aggressive look with my new ms style body kit. Thanks

First up is the Tein basis coil overs. I know that tein is a quality brand and I know I wouldn't have to worry about quality. I would on the other hand have to re-use the tops of my oem shocks which I would like to get away from but I will see.

Next is Tein s-tech lowering springs on takico blue struts. I heard this was a good combo, but just want other imput.

Last is some cheaper coil overs I found that have the tops for the front and rear. They are call dd racing? Not sure how known they are or anything, couldn't find a whole lot on them. Any opinions? Links to the all of them are below in order:

Run away from crappy ebay coilovers.

Just buy a set of koni yellows with decent springs, you'll be fine.

Just buy some springs and get some adjustable sway bars and you'll be fine.

Just keep my stock struts? would this be alright? I mean, would I bottom out with the stock damping? Because I am really wanting sways as well but figured I would replace all of struts and springs first...

You shouldn't be bottoming out, but cut your bump stops. I was under the impression handling wasn't your priority, so springs and sways should accomplish the goals.

I believe Charles @ Powertrix has started a 2013 group buy.

a group buy for what exactly? And I am looking for some handling. Just not going for the top notch racing handling. I want to keep it as a daily, but have that firm and aggressive feel gripping the road.

Why don't you check the Group Buy section. I run Powertrix coilovers on my DD with about 6 clicks from "soft" dialed in front and back.

I just checked... that is temping. I am planning on having my 8 for a while though, and I was talking to one of my friends, and he said his coil overs are starting to ride rough. What I am getting at, is should I get coil overs and get them rebuilt whenever they need to? Or lowering springs and just replace the struts every so often? I am just looking into my options. Because I thought lowering springs and sways to start would do a lot of justice handling wise.
