D2 coil over sucks
My d2 coil overs keep going out on the rear only any one had this problem? D2 replaced my coil over 1 time. Next one I bought it and after 2 months it's put again now they won't replace it unless I send my old one but it my daily and I can't just take them out. They never gave me that problem. Any one using d2 need your input I am taking them to court.
|
Just buy another set. You're gonna spend more money taking them to court and just create more of a headache. When you installed your rears how much pre-load did you put on the springs?
|
i out it in as they came. i wil take them to small claims court as long as they i get my money back for my set up i am good never ever i am using d2's ever again
|
Holy shit I can't even understand most of what you typed. At first I thought there was a language barrier but then I see you are in the U.S.
So let me get this straight, you bought the cheapest piece of shit coil-overs on the market and they turned out to be cheap pieces of shit? Who would have thought  |
dont waste your time/money going to court just sell what you can of the working parts you have left use that money and save a little bit more and buy yourself some decent coilovers, decent starts at about $1,200.00+^ so be patient, save and buy a good set.

Here is a good example of why it is not wise to make judgement on a company or product without all the information.
Facts/Details: D2 Racing coilovers come with a 1-year warranty against manufactures defects. D2 Racing lowering springs come with a lifetime warranty against manufactures defects. D2 Racing replacement shocks come with a 6 month warranty against manufactures defects. We take all issues, problems, complaints very seriously at D2 Racing because we believe in our product and stand behind our warranty. 6/2010: Nahar purchased the D2 Racing coilovers for his Mazda RX-8 through an authorized dealer. There was an issue with the rear coilovers making noise in 10/2010 and we replaced them sight unseen and covered them under warranty. Nahar spent no $ out of pocket for the replacement rear shocks. This is not typically how the warranty process works, however he acted knowledgeable about the product and the issue he was having so we immediately sent out the replacements. As with any issue, we want the customer to be happy with the product and not have to jump through hoops when it comes to warranty claims. Thus the 'expedited' process. 8/2012: Nahar purchase another pair of rear shocks for his RX8 due to the fact that his were 'worn out'. We sold him a pair at a discounted rate. 11/2012: Nahar sent and email that basically stated the rear shocks were bad. We asked him for more details such as pictures and the issues he was having. This was very odd to us as it is VERY rare to have 2 shocks fail at the same time on the same car. After a few emails the pictures were sent, and unfortunately we could not approve the warranty claim with pictures alone. Thus the reason we asked that the rear shocks be sent back to us for testing on our shock dyno. The return request, although quite bothersome, is not something that is atypical in the aftermarket suspension industry (nor any other industry for that matter). The replacement shocks Nahar purchased in 8/2012 are still covered under the warranty and we will gladly honor the warranty. We have tried to be very understanding and helpful but Nahar refuses to work with us. |
Nahar sounds like a dip shit. It sounds like D2 has great customer service and that says a lot about them as a company.

$20 says his shocks were never making noise, but he installed the endlinks like a dolt.

Looks like someone just got hunted down and schooled!

While I appreciate D2's response and think that the user is not being cooperative i can't help but remember why my D2 Coilovers ended up in the trash bin.
It's a product that may be right for hard parking or running around town but please don't ever attend a track weekend with them. |
We appreciate the support from the community! And please please please let us know if anyone EVER has an issue or problem with their D2 coilovers. Even if it is out of the warranty period we are more than willing to work with you! We want you to be satisfied with your purchase as long as you own them.

I have solved my problems by purchasing a set of Ohlins and honestly, i never looked back.
If you want to know what happened in my case i'll be more than willing to send you a lenghty email to discuss the matter in depth. |
All my mates who have D2's on their Nissans have had their front coilovers leak.
Just sayin.............. |

Yeah i know... :p: |
don't spend your time/money going to judge just offer what you can of the important areas you have remaining use that cash and preserve a little bit more and buy yourself some reasonable coilovers, reasonable begins at about $1,000.00+^ so be individual, preserve and buy a excellent set.
|
Reasonable starts at 1500\1800$. 1000$ is still cheap shit coilover wise.

I have never seen so many illiterate people in one thread.
