CXRacing Coilovers Anybody?
anybody ever tried these? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...84.m1427.l2649
yeah i know possibly ebay junk... just trying to save money |
Most "brand names" are junk, these can't be any worse. I have bought piping and other small things from them and the parts were actually pretty good.
|
most of my turbo piping, couplers, clamps, intercooler, and a few other things came from them. So far eveything has held up very good, though these are only simpler parts.
|
However, piping and whatnot takes a different sort of stress than dampers.
Personally, I would likely stay away but perhaps I am slightly biased? :P |
I agree but in the sub $1,000.00 range you won't get anything spectacular with actual shock dyno plots, etc.
I just got this from CX racing tonight. Quality piece. http://www.flickr.com/photos/9krpmrx8/6101156253/ |
I bought a set of new tein flex coil overs on eBay for $900 bucks. I think for that price, I would buy megans first
|
Spring Rate: Front 10kg/ Rear 5.5kg
LOL! |
Just a bump...has anyone tried these on an rx8 yet? Saw them new on ebay for $700.
|
i wouldnt get them, the rears are a very poor design. that rear shock is pretty much a stock shock and by looking at the pics the rears dont seem to adjust in dampening . looks like u can slam the car tho but with that shock being so tall in the rear slamming it with those coilovers would blow that shock quickly due to no shock travel.when buying coilovers thing u got to look at make sure that the shock is shorter that stock most coilovers these day all use shorter shocks and cxracing looks pretty tall kinda like sthe stocks.

I'm not sure that pic is of the actual RX-8 setup. If it is then it uses the stock shock tops. Many of the brand name coilovers still use the stock shock tops.
|
I'd save my money and not buy cheap junk :dunno:
