Broken End Link Help
So, one of the end links on my sway bar is snapped in half, and a replacement isn't due until the 3rd of September or so ( ). Assuming I drive the car like a grandma between now and then, do the experts out there figure this'll be ok? Also, do you figure it would be a good idea to go ahead and disconnect the end link that is not broken? Thanks.

Soz to hear that ScudRunner. Are you running aftermarket sway bars with stock end links? And did the end links just broke during regular driving?
Im asking cuz I got the RB sways, but no end links since I didnt like the idea of drilling larger holes. Thanx. |
Actually I have the RB Sways and the RB links...but, I believe now that I installed the new end links "backwards," so the load on them wasn't the way it was supposed to be...and since I have the RB links, the only thing I can replace them with is the RB links...food for thought...

I had thought about that very problem. When I saw your post, I thought you broke the stock end links and were waiting for them to come in, at which point I would have suggested getting the RB end links... but you are already there.
I knew a guy who kept several spare universal joints in his offroad truck because he had a tendency to break them. It's a bad affair. Perhaps order an extra set this time for safe keeping? |
yes the plan is to order a few sets when they're back in stock...
