Brake "jerk"

I have been experiencing this lately. whenever i am coming to a stop, from what speed is not important because it happens every time, it seems like i am getting jerked every time the wheel makes one complete revolution. so when i am going faster, i get jerked faster, like hitting a vertical bump, and i feel it slower as the speed decreases. but when i just coast and engine brake it doesn't do it. Could it just be that i need new brakes or what? thanks a lot.

Could be many things, worn pads being near the bottom of the list. If your not the handy type you should go to the dealership.

Hard to figure out what your trying to describe; you mention braking and then also something about turning the wheel?.. anyway.. maybe it's trammeling? You ever drive a car with wide tires? I'm not sure if you are describing a condition more severe than trammel, which in itself is normal.

it is hard to describe, but it is like when the wheel rotates, not like making a left turn, but just rolling while braking it does it. i don't think it would be the pads but i could be wrong. i will check on it. i will never go back to the dealership here though. i will trust other companies with my car from now on. but i will go right now and read up on the trammel.

the only other vehicle i have had with wide tires would have been my Dakota R/T before this car. can't remember if i ever had this problem. oh well.

note, it is not pulling to the right or anything, just jerking me frontward, almost like the brake catches harder for a split second, almost as though there were bump in the wheel, but it only does it during braking.

Try tightening all your lugs.
