Brace Kit from ebay

Has anyone here ever had this or has this on their ride? I just wondering, cause it's like $200 for a brace kit. Thanks in advance.

Interesting. Though for such a low price, I would suspect the grade of steel that they used and fitment.

Probably made in China...lol

EmperorBen 06-18-2012 11:42 PM

hmmm... it should still work the same though?

As if your post has any solid credibility (or intelligence for that matter). Go back into the crevices of your cut springs.

Different grades of steel/alloy- different sheer, tensile, and elongation strength. E.G., make a replica of the brace out of sheets of aluminum tin foil. Would it work the same?

Bahahahha, just pulled this from the listing post. Hilarious.

"DUE TO ITS “FREEDOM” DOOR DESIGN, RX-8’S CHASSIS IS SUBJECT TO A LOT OF FLEXING UNDER HARD DRIVING AND CORNERING. WITHOUT PROPER BRACING, THE BODY TWIST WILL CAUSE IMPROPER SUSPENSION ALIGNMENT AND REDUCE THE HANDLING OF THE VEHICLE."

I wouldn't buy it just for that statement....
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Mazda use a lot stronger metal for the frame in order to make up for the lack of a b pillar, giving the 8's frame more integrity, allowing in tighter cornering speeds than the 7?

That's the first thing I noticed when I read the listing like the other before me.

I would stay away from this. The color will probably go away the second water hits it and then comes the rust.

Don't people usually stay away from eBay? I know I do.

Hmm.

It's made by TC Sportline, not really an "ebay" no name brand. I have one of their rear strut bars and the quality is actually pretty good on it. This is a great alternative to ultra expensive bracing kits like AutoExe and GT Spec. The more expensive braces might work better but not enough to justify paying triple the price.

Yes. If I recall correctly, the torsional rigidity of the rx-8 is 30,000 NM/degree. Much greater than the comparable 3 series or Z cars.

edit: found it
