Any long term EDFC users?

Hey guys, I'm going to be investing in some Tein Flex coilovers soon and was wondering about the long term durability of their EDFC system and motors. I haven't really heard anything bad about them, I guess I just get freaked out a bit by electronics sometimes.

Cheers :beer05:

It's a waste of money...I would invest on coilovers that when you actually adjust the dampning/compression, the curve is linear and you can notice a difference with each adjustment.

I was also looking at Cusco Zero 1's and 2's, I've always kind of been loyal to Cusco for one reason or another. I dunno, what do you run on your 8?

I've run Cusco for several yrs and they've worked flawlessly. The econ is far from a 'waste of time', it allows damping change while driving. It's very noticeable (5 each setting F/R) and are an esp. useful track mod (why I bought them).

What I'd ask myself is "..without the ease of changing setting w/a button...how many times REALLY would I bother to get under the car to adjust manual-type coilovers?" With that and after using it - I realized the on-the-fly feedback is EVERYTHING. Without it - it's virtually impossible for your seat-of-the-pants memory to know what the best setting should be/was and make any real world comparisions. IOW all the 29-way adjustments on fancy manual coilovers would simply be a waste and more of a confusion than help...at least in my case!

I'm having a hard time finding any sites that list a U.S. price for the Cusco Zero-2E, I did find emails and phone numbers. Anyone have any links?

^ googled "RX-8 CUSCO ZERO-2E" got them :scratchhe

IMO adjustable coil overs period are a waste of money unless you know what you're doing and not just turning the shocks to full hard every time you take it to the track. Plus that most lowend coilovers are not linear in their adjustment OR have matching damping curves per shock, buying something that adjusts them from in car is just more waste of money
