+30mm offset?

I'm about to buy some new wheels, (well they're infiniti g35 wheels, they are 18x8 so im just going to take my tires off my current wheels and swap them. is a +30mm offset going to be that much of difference?

missing a couple important factors

are you lowered?
what exact tire specs?
and why are you buying OEM wheels from another car?

RX8Soldier 08-08-2012 04:43 PM

And more importantly, you're missing the fact that there is a STICKY regarding fitment for wheels/tires for the rx8.

^considering the OP on this thread i'm pretty sure posting in the will-it-fit thread will only lead to more frustation....on both sides lol

missing an important factor everyone.

Infiniti Wheel bore - 66.1
Mazda Wheel bore - 67.1

Wheels would have to be machined before they'd even go on.

About 45 seconds of homework will help you figure it out. but regardless here...

The oem rx8 wheels are 18x8 +50 offset.

G35 wheels are:

18" wheels
Front & Rear: 18x8 +30mm offset

19" wheels
Front: 19x8 +30mm offset
Rear: 19x8.5" +33mm offset

With your 30 mm spacers you will be achieving at least 50mm offset total. Or 53mm if you go staggered.

You will be pushing your wheels out at least 1.96 inches.

Measure the gap between your tires now and your fenders. Do you have 2 inches worth of clearance? You will need it to make it work.

^ you misunderstood what this guys trying to do. He doesnt want to put 30+ spacers.

He wants to put on G rims that are 18x8 WITH +30 offset.

The answer is theyll be fine i use them during winter and yes it will look alot better the +20 offset difference is very noticeable the wheels stick out more.

cornholio135 08-08-2012 08:50 PM

G35 wheels no need for spacers...if your tires are stock size 225/45 they will fit fine without the spacers...

No

I spent about 30 seconds on google and that's what it told me.

YMMV.

Exactly plus if your pretty low camber will also come in to play because of how close to the fenders you'll be.

My setup:
Fronts- 18X9.5 30ET 245/40/18 RS-3s
Rears 18X9.5 20ET 255/35/18 S-03s
Lowered ~2"
Rear camber -3.5*
Fenders rolled straight up and pulled about a 1/2", and the inner fender plastic needs to be trimmed pretty good on the rear.
The front, BARELY rubs on the plastic fender liners.

EDIT- in the pic below I didn't roll and pull my fenders yet.
