SiLVeRE8 04-30-2010 02:58 AM

Thank you so much for the pics 9krpmrx8!!! From the way it looks I am pretty sure 20mm would be fine, but gotta give it a try to know for sure.

lepichichi 04-30-2010 10:21 AM

Eibach bought off individuals on the board. But you can get a full set of hubcentric spacers off of Ebay for about $170.00 or so, just read the reviews, quality can vary.

9K:

Did you were able to solve the small rub issue you mentioned before? If so, by rolling the fenders?

I'm looking for the same look of my 8 but not sure if 15 or 20 mm will avoid any issue.

srinivasadi 05-18-2010 08:07 PM

For people looking for other 8's with similar setup here are some pics. Sorry 9K for hijacking your thread :P. I think your car looks really nice now. Kudos!

Rubbing issue has gone away (unless I have another dude in the car and it's a steep exit or bump). It rubbed away a tiny bit of fender liner , didn't even go all the way through in the front.

Thanks dude, you were my inspiration. I'll have Shinka wheels on soon, then I will experiment with the regular stockers and a professional paint gun setup and some guidance ;)

Damn I cant believe I missed this thread in my searching.

When you say it rubs slightly then it has disapeared, have you see any type of damage in the wheel well?

Also how much weight have you had in your car since the spacers. Say yourself +3 passengers. Did it end up rubbing worse or only slightly on hard bumps?

8upbad 05-27-2010 08:49 AM

Yeah this seals it. I just bought s techs and I was hoping 25mm spacers would look good and work. And I'm not afraid to roll my fenders at all.

hoss -05 05-27-2010 12:09 PM

Raul misses your your car 9k..... cant wait to see her when you put on her new rims.

No damage at all slight rub marks in wheel well. Usually with two people in my car which is very rare.

That looks so sick! I know I've given you props already, but I can't get over how amazing that looks. Nice work!

Youwonder 07-12-2010 10:21 AM

Nice job... I'm think ordering 25mm myself to get that flush look... Thanks for pics and feed back... Oh yea very clean 8 by the way:-p

9krpmrx8 07-12-2010 02:16 PM

Thanks guys, I have gotten abagillion PM's from people requesting info on this setup. I got a new set of Shinka wheels recently so they will go on soon and I will post up some new pics. It won't be a huge change but my stockers are pretty beat up after 113,000 miles.

9krpmrx8 07-21-2010 09:24 AM

Update with Shinka wheels :) Car is on a hill so it's sitting at an angle.

That looks awesome man. What's different about the shinka wheels besides the color? And where did you get them at?

9krpmrx8 07-21-2010 12:06 PM

No difference, except for color. I got them locally from a member here.

hoss -05 07-22-2010 03:10 AM

Let me try and decipher you post. You have an automatic RX8 with 16's and you want to add spacers?

Roidz 01-28-2011 06:35 PM

At least he searched, but I'm not quite sure what he means either. That's sounds about right though.
