I am getting the Stern Tourning wheels. though i am having troubles with tire sizes, SINCE these are gonna be my VERY first tires i am ever buying. I was still highly considering the potenzas as they are really good tires. Can anyone help me with tire sizes please. Once i have them on i will note all the details about 9.5 all around
This thread has a little info about sterns and tire sizes. It's the setup I'll be going with. Only prob is that I have to wait a month and a half for the color I want.

Wait a second, you're telling me that the S03's Bridgestones are just average tires? There's a reason these are one of the highest rated Summer tires out there... Toyo T1s/Falken Azenis are ok for their price, but if you are going to do that, might as well just go cheaper and get Nittos. BF KFWD is 2nd best in my mind, then P Zeros ( Though more and more people are complaining about the tread life on forums).

Personally the S02s was one of the best tires I've had in my previous car... great tread pattern too :P

I have 8.5" (38 mm offset) up front, 9.5" (35 mm) on the back. On a 9.5" rims you can fit pretty much from 255 to 285 tires (I have 265's & they look a little narrow on the 9.5"). With the 38 mm offset on the Sterns it just barely scraped the caliper a bit. If you got to a 35 mm offset realize that you are going to stick out of the fender a little bit (take a ruler and add about 2 1/4" to your current OEM tire outwards that is where the side of your rim/tire will be).

Honestly, the Potenzas are average tires. If you want better tires go for the BF Goodrich KDW2 or Pirelli P Zero Neros if you need all weather tires or the Toyo T1S/Falken 451 (less expensive but still very good tires), Michelin Pilot Sport 2's, Goodyear GS-D3's, or BF Goodrich KD's for summer tires.

No, Potenzas are the name of the whole lineup. The stock tires are the Bridgestone Potenza RE 040's. Our standard tires are the 040's which are a few levels below the Pole Positions (It goes S03's, RE 070's, RE 050/050A, then 040). The S03's are on par with the Pilot Sport 2's & BF Goodrich Comp TA KD's, but the 040's are definitely a few steps below them. The Toyo T1S & Falken's are a step above the Nittos. I asked this question myself on this board a while back, and the people who track their RX8's told me to get the Toyo's as they perform far better than the Nitto 555's. The new Falken 615's are supposed to be in the max performance/R compound level performance, also Toyo is coming out with a replacement for the T1S called the T1R.

19x9.5 255/35r19 BARLEY

I have 255/35r19 on 19x9.5 Aodhan wheels and it just barley fits had to raise up the Bcs almost to make height in the front it is doable but the front will need some banging out of the inner fender to fit, I will be moving down a size thinking 245/30r19 for the next set so I can lower the fronts a bit more

I'm looking at 19X9.5 or 10 +35 offset Axis Hiro's with 255/35/19 tires at every corner. I believe it will fit, just want to be sure.

Anybody have pics?
