18x7.5 's ?

Was looking at this set of Enkei 387's and was wondering if you think it would be too narrow for the 8? I also have to find out if they take tpms.

its possible

stock is 18x8
wats half inch less? big deal.. if u like, go for it

18x7 should take a 235 width tire - wider than stock - not sure if any other issue with it though.

I wouldn't run anything wider than a 225 on 7" wheel. If you don't care about handling and just drive normal on the street that should be ok but what's the point. There are plenty of good wheels in 18X8+. Don't forget to look at the offset and bolt pattern as well.

I run 245/40 on a 18x7.5 wheel... no problems.. rides great.

Still not a great idea, why would you shove a 245 on to such a narrow wheel. It doesn't fit right, isn't approved by any of the tire manufacturers and you will be wearing the tire horribly. It's basically bunched all in the middle on the narrow wheel. You might as well have bought a wider wheel with the savings from better tire wear by using the correct wheel/tire combo.

So next time I buy tires if I went back down to 225 you think the car would handle and stick to the ground better? Or just prolong the tires life?

I all about handling, just trying to figure how much i'm going to be sacrificing by losing that 1". also looking to shed a few pounds of wheel weight as well.

1" is a lot when it comes to grip so if your about handling I wouldn't go under the stock 8"
