Whats wrong with my car?

The other day...I drove my car to the store. on my way home, it would not start. it just keep clicking. i did some research and thought it might be my battery....it might be old...or dying...so I called triple A.

Triple A came hours later....and he hooked the jumper cable to my battery....he told me to try to start the car.....and my car started.......but the werid thing is he didnt jump start it...it wasnt connected to the other battery.

now my car runs fine..but when i turn it on...the engine sounds different...and is trying very hard to turn on....

any advice on whats wrong with my car? is it the battery? please help, thanks!

Check the connections to the battery and make sure they aren't loose on the terminals.
Also.. if you have an MT, check the clutch interlock switch on the clutch pedal.
Sometimes the plunger needs to be pulled out.

Tow Trucks don't always hook it up to a battery. They have terminals on the side or front of their truck they hook it to mostly now.

Sounds like your battery was dead.

1) loose terminals causing battery not to regarge

2) Bad Battery

3) bad alternator

okay....so i didnt change my battery just yet because my car started running again...but now after a few days of not driving it....the same problem occured today..

the engine just keeps clicking and the car doesnt start. the werid thing is that all my electrical componets still work.

im worred that the problem might be far greater than just the battery. anyone can help share any thoughts / ideas?

Autozone etc have battery testers. I don't get the idea that you've looked under the Hood much. Have you tried disconnecting the battery, cleaning the terminals, and reconnecting?

Goto autozone and get your stuff checked IMO or take it to a shop.
