Weird Noise

So lets get to it,

I just recently started driving My 8 again (winter beauty sleep)
and this funky noise would come on at random times, But it seems like it's happening a lot more often then when it first started.

I'm not sure what the deal is, there wasn't anything like this last year.

2004 Rx8 Standard ~75k miles, I'm the second owner I've had it since late 2005

mods:

ACT Pro-Lite Flywheel
Exedy Stage 1 Clutch
RP ‘Supercat’ Mid Pipe

I've searched around but I didn't seem to find anyone that had the same problem.

The noise comes on when i First start the car and last about 30sec to a minute

and later on comes at random, sometimes its loud sometimes its faint.

It seems to be coming from around the armrest/shifter area, maybe glove compartment.

I have a huge hole in my shift boot and noticed last year that I can hear a bit more noise from whats going on under, but it was never this bad.

This is what it sounds like when I first start the car... whiiiiiizzz whiiizzzz.. JK

here's the video

and here it is while driving.

thanks in advance.

Turn off the power to your radio/speakers. If the sound goes away, then it is called a ground loop feedback, where the audio system is sending some amount of current through your sound system to ground. There are a few solutions to it, largely things that break the electrical power connection between the speakers and the head unit without breaking the sound connection (like using an isolator that transfers the sound waves across a non-conductive medium)

thanks for the reply RIWWP, do you think it has something to do with the metra kit I got in there?
