Weekend Install Problems

I installed some new stuff this past weekend which I thought went okay, but after I installed the Esmiril ignition upgrade, new spark plugs, new ignition coil wires and AEM CAI, I seem to get really bad gas millage and I get a popping during acceleration. Any ideas?

any more details? most of the time it maybe a small flaw somewhere in your install, did you verify and double check everything accordingly?

bad gas mileage and popping sounds like you are now running rich, double check you installs that you didnt leave any vaccum hoses off and double check all the connection on the ignition

check the coils first... as for the intake it will have no power on acceleration.. usually around 5k rpms.. popping sound is more to do witht he ingiton or the plugs. double check the wires and the plugs making sure you didnt switch them up.. happened to me once lol

Front and rear trailing plugs are swapped or the coil wires.

check those items too.

The Esmiril ignition upgrade normally requires splicing of your harness to get it hooked up. If this was done you may want to check your wiring to ensure there's no issues.

I agree that you could be operating with a non-firing coil that would cause incomplete combustion.

Shoulda went with the BHR ignition=] I don't have it but I heard good things!

It seems to have been an issue with the spark plugs themselves. Bought stock ones and my problems stopped. Also, I have the BHR harness for the ignition coils so I didn't have to deal with the splicing.
