Water leaking from under glove compartment?

Hi, i bought a 2004 RX8 in February and everything with the car has been fine until a month or two ago when i noticed that under the glove compartment, there was a little leaking of what seems to be water? So i took it into the shop and they confirmed it was water and it was leaking from the ac unit from condensation build up and that i didn't have to worry about it. The shop i took it into wasn't a Mazda dealership but i took it there just cause i knew they were going to charge me up the butt for that issues and probably other issues that i didn't even have.

But back to the problem, does anyone have any advice or tips for this? I've read on other forums and other Rx8 owners seem to have this issue too but no one had a solution to it.

If anyone does have a solution though, that'd be awesome and would save me a lot of money from going to an actual Mazda dealership and having to pay for unnecessary repairs.

Thanks for the links! I'll be popping my hood sometime tomorrow to look for the "ac drain hose" and repost on how it went.

The problem with this issue is the threads are confusing. Is this just a short tube? I have the clog issue and big hands so im trippin. Have not tried to get to it. So basically your like milking a cow nipple (aka duckbill) by rubbing it lol?

I guess there is no way to get to it from the inside cabin hole where the air fliters are?

I checked mine putting my hand thru drivers side where oil filter is. All I could feel was a little slit but no tube. Is it possible my tube is missing or is that all there is? It seemed to be only 1/2 inch or less

connect a small hose to an air gun and put in those duck lips and blow. be ready cause your floor might get wet (drain pan)
