water leak in car

Just wondering if any had or knows about an issue I have which is, water is pooling up on the passenger side between the front & back seat, it only happens when its a steady rain for an hour or so, took it to the dealer, they couldnt find anything. i made a slit it the carpet & i caught it once while it was happening i saw the water trickling from the front. any ideas?

First, check the airconditioner condensate drain tube. Next, do you have a sunroof? Check the drain tubes. Also, pull up on the rear seat lower cushion to see if it's wet on the metal underneath.

Unfortunately, unless source of the leak is really obvious, water can travel a distance to a low spot before puddling. It's a pain, but the interior will probably have to come out.

I'd bet (hope) it is the above drains, though.

ps. Year and location of your car, please. This is covered under the Basic Warranty. If it is warranty, don't accept that they can't fault!

Sit in the car and have someone else spray the car with a hose over everyplace the car could leak and see if you see any water entering

For the Front drains...

1. Remove the following parts:

(1) Roof side trim
(2) A-pillar trim
(3) Rear seat
(4) Inner scuff plate
(5) Tire house trim
(6) Rear pillar trim
(7) Map light
(8) Interior light
(9) Sunvisor
(10) Assist handle
(11) Headliner

2. Disconnect the front drain hose from the sunroof frame.

3. Remove the front drain hose from the clips.

4. Pull the front drain hose into the vehicle interior and remove the front drain hose.
