Wanna hear BS from what mazda told me about our cars...
The Mazda dealer I went to say that I should not be in 6000 rpms and up range while driving or that is considered abuse. Listen to this they told me after they found out what happened to my car they test drove a AUTO and said they put it in manual mode and ran 1st gear to 6500 and then put it back in to drive and it went right to third. The Mazda engineer then told me that he felt at 6500 rpms the car should be in 3rd and if its not that is considered abuse.
1. I do not have an auto CAR I have manual 2. They advertise the redline with all glitz and glory 3. Give me some f---ing power below 6000 rpms and I will not shift 4. I should have bought a car that u can have fun with and not be voided for abuse: mad: All u know how temperamental our cars are Our average engine temp runs up to 230 degrees water boils at 212 degrees, Mazda had to up the pressure to stop the water from boiling hence blown engines. Which means we can blow an engine if u lose more than 3 pounds per inch in our cooling system. Which basically sucks: mad: I am another member but needed to come up with a fake email and username so the Mazda feds dont catch me and void my warranty I just want the people of the cars to know more about Mazda and its BS and schemes ..this post will self destruct in 5 ..4 ..3 2 .1 BOOM |
same crap happened to me
|
Why did it happen to you and did they void it
|
they said they will replace as a goodwill nothing more nothing less. A once a time thing hear
|
what i dont seem to understand is that in our manual it says anything in the redline(above 8500) can be hazzardous to the engine so why can 1 tech come along and say no the whole mazda rx 8 design team is wrong 6000rpms is the limit
|
i know its bullshit i wann hear more from this guy

might have to change your USER name to low reving since mazda said it abuse |
This is getting out of hand.
How can someone start a thread like this and then someone thinks they want to quote the "entire Mazda rx 8 design team"? |
i am just relaying the message here.
This is what the mazda service guy told me ( the in charge of service at the dealer i went to) |
Like he's likely to know shit!....
most service writers know about as much as the average salesman. Unless it comes from Mazda Tech...or a good Master Mechanic... it might as well be a rumour about Ben and Jen :D |

What a load of BULL SHIT!
Just because a "tech", may work at a dealership or even distributor, does not mean he will be a supporter of the product, he or she could be a closet FIAT,FORD or Chrysler fan. It is just a job to him/her. A rotary is generally happy to rev all day, its the other parts, tranny, clutch etc, that can stress out at high RPM. Any car is manufactured to a price, if you want a bullet proof car you will pay, and no one in the end will pay megabucks...they just wont sell them. Heavy duty clutches/boxes etc, end up giving a passenger car the feel of a truck, then you get other consumer complaints. Designing and making a car is a compromise to quality/reliabilty/cost. |

haha, I can't wait till my dealer tech or whateverhistitleis crap his mouth out next time I go for service. I'm going to take names (literally) and head straight to my lawyer...
|
It would be better that you do that than to publish some of the drivel I have read above. And when the lawyer tells you to fly a kite let us know.

There is a couple of things in the original post that are troubling. The RX8, like most new vehicles, has an RPM limiter. This limiter can be set to any value by the factory, and trying to exceed it is impossible with the factory engine control.
Abuse is mostly defined as smoky burnouts, racing, and non-factory engine control. When was the last time you were at the dealer and were able to talk to a factory engineer? The original poster is lacking in credability. |

That's why you shouldn't run too much water mixed in with your coolant, because it lowers the boiling point too low. |

Welcome to Litigation, USA. |
the original poster isnt very good at hiding his identity;). this was said to him by the head tech at this dealership when his tranny died. i know he just needed to vent but this thread is really ridiculous so i am closing it.
