Vacuum Leak
 
I am experiencing a vacuum leak from my engine and think my problem might be related to the Int-x uninstall. During the installation process for the Int-x, there is a step to hook up the supplied hose to the nipple on the manifold (underneath portion, right hand side above oil dip stick) to assist with measuring manifold vacuum pressure. When I uninstalled the Int-x, I didnt plug this hole and think that my issues are because of this.

Does anyone know if this hole should be plugged? Mine currently is not and at idle I can feel the vacuum coming from this area if I place my finger on it.

Absolutely.....
 
MUST be plugged.

That large of a vacuum leak will affect both the fuel trim settings, cause rough idle, and suck in debris!

Why would you leave it open?

Cap it, if you don't have a cap, use an inch of tubing with a stubby screw in the other end. Then reset the computer to get rid of the f@ked up settings.

Why not hook up the vacuum line that is supposed to be there from the VFAD?

Thankx for the input guys.. I'll plug the hole.. (Novice)..... Obviously :)

I had the Int-X installed on my car and could not remember whether or not this needed to be plugged.. I have been running with it like that actually for the past month and have only been experiencing issues just recently.

I did happen to look at my LTFT value and it said 20%.. I knew there was something wrong at that point on a N/A car...

Should have known better but I just did not know.

the rb intake should have come with a red vacuum nipple plug.
