Turbo oil line. Need help

I finally installed my GReddy turbo and had it running with the V1_0 AP map. The car runs perfect with that map so far. There is no stumbling(had a few idle stumbles on startup but the PCM learned it.) So far I fixed two separate oil leaks from the pain in the ass oil line. The last oil leak I had it seemed as if it was coming from the oil returned line(rubber one) to the oil pan. I tightened both ends again and turned the car back on giving it a few rev to build pressure. I now had the leak higher up on the line as if it were the hard line oil return. I jacked the car back and looked at it closer. There was oil on the turbo itself and now my thinking did not make sense. The hard return line shouldnt be under pressure so I dont think oil should be spraying.

Prior to installing my oil restrictor the oil line on the turbo side would sit flush. Now that I put the restrictor on the turbo side inside the turbo itself and screwed the oil line on top of it the line no longer sits flush against the turbo. It's tight just not flush. I put my hand on the oil line(turbo side) and there is oil all around it. So I know its coming from there(oil restrictor area) With that said how have some of you installed your oil restrictor? I am thinking I have to relocate it due the leak location. Any ideas?

Did you use an AN oil restrictor (threaded on both ends) or the NOS type restrictor; like in the greddy fix thread?

If you used the NOS type restrictor then you can probably grind it down until it fits.

The AN male-to-male type oil restrictor gave me problems too; I just had to re-tighten a few times to get it snug enough (this was with the 3071R Turbo upgrade.

I have the NOS funnel. It sits on top of the oil line inlet to the turbo and the oil line screws down on top of it. I was advised that was the best place for it. I remember MM welding his inlet nipple shut and then drilling the proper size hole. That would be good but requires removing the turbo(not fun.) Not sure where else to put it.

Can you grind it down some in order to make it fit?

If not; can you put it in the t-fitting?

I thought about the t-fitting but didn't want the oil pressure to be forced into a funnel so close to the engine. Would it matter? They way it sits in the turbo oil inlet I dont think grinding it down would do any good.

If you grind it down it should fit. This is where most people locate the restrictor and they don't get leaks.

You could move it to the t-fitting block if that would be easier.

bummer bout the oil leak police.
+1 for grinding it down. I would imagine that would work
