Tranny Slipping?
It's been about a week now and I started to notice that my 04 doesn't run as fast as it used to. When I'm at a stop light, and when it turns green, I put it in first and it acts as if I were trying to do a burn out. It revs for a few seconds before actually moving or getting any traction. Once I want to switch gears, it also revs a little once its in 2nd before it actually starts accelerating. I'm thinking it could be transmission but I am not quite sure. It has 77,473 miles and no CEL. The only light popping up is the Coolant warning which has always been like that. Any ideas?

Any strange odor while its doing that? Sounds like a clutch to me.
Definitely sounds like the clutch is slipping/finished. If the engine revs are increasing but vehicle speed isn't, it's the clutch.
As of now, there haven't been any strange odors. I know for clutch, it usually stays for while. I've caught a whiff of tires burning (i'm assuming it's tires) since I smell it for a few seconds and then its gone.
If you're not applying full throttle, I don't think it's your tires.
Definitely sounds like a clutch. That burning tires smell is probably the clutch slipping. I would think you'd definitely know if the tires were slipping enough to smell it.
Yeah, I believe it's the clutch now. With what you guys are saying and with what I smelled earlier, it is the clutch. It struggled at picking up speed when it was in first and then I started smelling something like rubberish but not like the tire smell. So now I have to fix it. Well I guess its time for a stage three clutch lol. JK I don't have that amount on me :(

put an OE clutch in it, this has been discussed 1000 times at least
Would an Organic Stage 1 work too? How come OE is preferred or aftermarket?

*over

You're not really likely to produce more torque than the stock clutch can handle, on these cars, and the higher performance a clutch is, usually the less friendly it is in daily driving. I'm sure OE-spec aftermarket clutches are fine, but don't get into 'stage 3' things, they're way overkill.
Yeah, I wasn't really planning on spending around $1,500 or more for stage 3. I was looking at organic stage 1 and maybe a flywheel. Seemed like a great idea but I'm not too sure.
