Traction control/abs light, only when driving/head lights are on.

So, this is a post for a buddy of mine, he's rarely on the forums, but thought you guys could help him out. We tried searching, both him and I, but could not find anything related/solved the problem.
A couple weeks ago, him and I were working on a project that involved LED's. During testing, we connected a series of LED's without a resistor (yes I know they are required, but we were seeing what would happen without them lol ) and it blew the LED's. That night, we also wired up an LED third brake light on the trunk (tapped into previous OEM wiring, and also adjusted headlight height doing the manual procedure.
Now, the problem is, after that night, his traction control light and abs light comes on ONLY when the driving light/head light switch is turned to on. It does not come on while normal driving.
I guess we should also note that we have the fog's wired to the accessories fuse wire in the engine by following one of the DIY's on this forum a couple months ago but it didn't cause this problem till the recently after the night mentioned above.
Is there anything that could cause this to happen?
We checked brake fluid levels, made sure that the reset procedure after the battery terminals are taken off, and made sure it's not throwing any CEL codes are being thrown. Only thing I can think of is that there is a wiring touching something else and when the switch is turned on, that electrical current is sent to something else making the car flip out.
Any feed back is helpful. Thank you.
