Sunroof pop-up wind deflector replacement??? How-to + part #'s??

Some time ago, one of the plastic spring guide "things" on my sunroof wind screen broke and fell off the track. I don't really use the sunroof right now in fear of not getting it closed. I could probably just break off the second one, but meh. It's this springy pop up thing that goes up once the glass slides past it, in the video here:

1) Any idea on the procedure to fix this? The arm that grabs the rail seems to wrap all the way around the top half. My only guess is I have to pull the headliner and slide the arm down the rails from the back, then re-attach it to the deflector bar. I honestly have no idea. This procedure is not in the FSM, nor can I find anyone online who seems to have done it.

2) Any idea for part numbers on this? My suspicion is F153699H1 and F153699H2. Those are 89865A in this diagram. https://www.jimellismazdaparts.com/i...ze/2F11761.jpg
Naturally, the factory parts manual is of little help here either, and it's not like a bunch of people have ordered these so I can't find a picture of the part online.

Any help that can be given would be much appreciated.

OP I am in the exact same boat as you...hoping that some glue or double sided tape can work can work in the meantime as the hinge bracket is static but not confident on those chances.

EDIT: Update on this. Parts are not F153699H1 nor F153699H2. You probably have to order the entire deflector part (69-845) in the diagram. I had an interior shop redo my headliner and they just glued the broken hinge down since the bracket doesn't move. I haven't fully opened the sunroof yet but the glue job has held up fine so far.

I had the same thing happen - and it was totally my fault for trying to close the sunroof at freeway speeds. As far as I can tell it’s something that requires the whole headliner out and probably a complete tear down of the sunroof in order to replace that part because it’s all tracks and springs n sh*t.

Any one get a confirmation on this part number, I thought about plastic welding it back in and then using a thin layer of JBweld or something.

I'm going to plastic weld the tabs that broke off inside of the metal cross piece. Then I think I can clip+glue the clips back on the bottom that attaches to the car.

I think I did get confirmation on the whole deflector assembly:

F153-69-880 or F153-69-880A

I unfortunately had the plastic tabs that mount onto the metal rails break off. So I still have the big plastic handles on each end.

I ordered the whole rail from a Mazda dealership, but unfortunately it does not come with the little plastic tabs that make it mount to the metal rails. I was told that most likely you would have to order the entire sunroof and replace it to get those tabs included (classic).

Not sure a good way to figure out to mount it securely, especially with the forces of wind pushing against it. Tough one.

Yeah this is probably something I'll end up having to do. Having a way to hold it into place with clips or something to make sure its at the right height, then just create like a glue/jb weld scaffold to have it stay there lol.
