stuck shifter after clutch replacement
so i just finished putting in a new clutch, everything went pretty good. i installed new throwout and pilot bearings. after getting it all back in and the oil topped off i started it up and gently ran it through the gears on jack stands to be sure everything was ok.
well half way thought my shifting i got a weak grind in nuetral, so i atempted to get it back in gear but it was a no go on moving the shifter out on the nuetral position, and as a bonus it seems to be stuck in 5th or 6th gear. Im pretty savvy when it comes to manual trannys in mustangs but this is nothing like a t5 and was hoping for some insight on what this could be, the pilot bearing was completly gone when i got it apart but short of a sliping clutch everything worked perfect before. please help if you can, im not going to the dealer for anything more than parts its not an option to spend that kind of money. thanks in advance for anyhelp you can give :) |
is the slave sitting in the throwout lever properly? Slave working? Bleed properly?

and.. did you align the transmission properly? It's not going to be the case, but as you said you're savvy on t5 gearboxes so i'm just telling you ;) a badly aligned transmission is a timebomb. |
will it shift with the motor off on flat ground?
did you align the ppf? do you know what that this? it is important.. other questions.. what did you install? and last. look at the clutch pedal.. that has been another issue.. beers  |
