strut backwards? s-techs

Hi All,
I have searched and found nothing relating to this particular issue.
The issue is that i installed Tein s-techs on stock shocks; everything is sitting well except the passenger side front. I did everything to spec (cutbump stops etc.) even preloaded using a jack, but the passenger front is still 1/2" higher. I just noticed that the passenger front spring perch finishes facing out to the rim at the bottom, all the other 3 finish at the bottom facing in towards the car. maybe this is normal?

Driver front is 14" from the center of the hub to the fender
Passenger front is 14.5"

Has anyone encountered this problem before? I would just like some feedbackbefore I waste a Saturday morning for nothing. your help is greatly appreciated. It would be nice to get some information from someone who has encountered this before or knows that this is the problem.

thanks in advance.

Only one bump per day please.

Sounds like a shock issue if you are sure you preloaded correctly. Try loosening the bolts and preloading on the ground.

as stated did that......the question is about the strut. does the issue of it being reversed make the spring sit higher?

There is no strut, it's a shock. And you did not preload on the ground so there is a chance you did it wrong with the jack method. The position of the perch is fine. But if it makes you feel better, spin it around. Did the spring fit in the indent of the rubber grommet on the top end? It should be obvious where the stock spring sat and then you line up the rest.

i actually did both pre-load methods,..... something must not be lined up correctly, i will check what you mentioned when i get into it, while turning the 'shock'. i'm guessing it must be something obvious as 1/2" higher after a week only in one corner is a lot.
