Strange Sound...Any Idea?
 

Every time when my car takes off from parked position --- meaning parkedw/ engine turned off--- I get in the car, turn on the engine, put down the hand break, engage the 1st gear, but as the car starts to move I hear this strange sound coming from somewhere underbody. It sounds almost like some cargo rolling and hiting the trunk trim. But there is nothing in the trunk. I cannot figure out where it's coming from. But I am almost certain it's not coming from the rear half of the car. It only happens once every time. Once I get the car going, I don't hear it anymore even in stop & go traffic until I park my car the next time and the cycle goes on. I don't know if it's something normall, has anyone experienced it? Please help.

OK. Its the ABS diagnostic check. Completely normal.

what he said^ and ill add- please read your manual.

Is that what it is? I read the manual which does say u will hear a sound when ABC performs self check at start up. It does that even without pressing break? I feel better now. Thanks.
