Starts, Idles, DEAD.
Today, after a while of rough idling and other nonsense, I went ahead and decided to clean out my throttle body, MAF, and SSV. Also, I replaced the stock wires with new NGK wires I purchased but never put on.
Finished the whole process, then realized the bucket that I put my coolant in apparently decided to leak all over my garage floor. Perfect. Got new coolant and replaced. After cleaning this mess up, I went ahead and got everything together and fired it up. Started as normal. RPMS went to 2.5k as its would normally on a colder day. Idles for roughly 4-6 and... Dead. Can repeat the process, will just die again in the same manor. Replaced the new wires with the old since I knew those worked, same thing. Check engine does come on, however I will not have a reader available until the morning. Any ideas???? |
Check all the electrical connections. and, if you disconnected the battery, you need to start it cold and just let it run to is can re-learn all the trims. Let it warm all the way up without touching the gas from cold. If it will not do that you need to know what the codes are.

Have you got a CEL?

Noticed when I put the air pump back in, I forgot to plug in, I believe to be the front O2?, whatever that plug is :p
I do have two codes for air flow, which I'll try cleaning the MAF again and see how that goes. |
Brain Fart. on my end.
Check the vacuum line that actuates the valve on air pump line. If it is not connected, the leak may stall a cold car. |
I'm assuming that was the issue since the motor would be cold and it kept stalling.
