Staff running really rich. Idle dips and stalls out.

Hey everyone. So I have a rebuilt 2004 6port MT motor

here. Starts and runs good but once it starts warming up the stuff shoots to -22% to -25% and the idle just drops and stalls. I know this means it's running way too rich but I don't know the list if causes for this. I know if it was positive that would be lean, which would be a vacuum leak most likely. But what can cause it to go that rich? Also little back info second motor rebuild. Used new rotors housings all new seals (minus corner seals). Air pump and cat deleted. Lower 02 sensor gone. I assumed it was a compression issue but it starts up instantly when fully warmed up and it's really consistent between 5-10 seconds in the fuel trim goes really rich. Any ideas and thoughts would be a great help.

Is this a freshly installed engine? It's easy to mix up primary and secondary injectors when installing the engine, which would cause these symptoms.

Yeah it's freshly installed. The 4 yellow ones are primary right? And the 2 red ones are secondary that go into the fuel insulator where the oil injectors are? I'm 99% sure I have them setup like that but can double check tommorow.

I should have been clearer: it's the wiring to them that gets mixed up. Some of the connectors are beige, the others are yellow and all probably a little dirty. Easy mistake to make.

The reason it takes a bit of time to show rich, I suspect, is the time it takes the O2 sensor to warm up and start operating and for the computer to go from start-up program to normal operation program.

Ohhh. That legit might be it. I had re taped the harness when I had it out if the car since it was ripped and peeling in several places. But after taping it the leads didn't seem to "rest in place". So that might be it. I'll let you know as soon as I get to it. Thanks again.

Ok finally made it out here been busy last few days. I only have 2 that are taped, the plugs are all same color. The taped ones are white and Tanish? I saw a diagram saying those 2 are primary and they go into the secondary rail. I guess I'll try that since I had them in the middle of the big fuel rail.

On the 2004-2008 6-port engine; the two red injectors are P1 (primary), the two yellow injectors directly across from them are P2, and the other two yellow injectors on the end are S (secondary)
