Squeaky clutch pedal

what the heck... I don't drive my car for a few days and the damn clutch pedal starts squeaking, i can feel it through my leg when i clutch... ugh :banghead:. If someone could tell me how to get to it, or possibly why it is squeaking, I'd really appreciate it!

it is sqeaking right where the joint is above your foot. i took mine to the dealer for this problem and they greased it and i havent heard a sqeak yet..if you have warrenty take it in and make them do it. if you dont then get some lube and lube that joint up and press the pedal in and out till the squeak goes away.

depending on year and mileage it might be a sign of the pedal getting ready to fail..

Crawl up under the dash and with a flashlight check the clutch pedal bracket bolted to the firewall for cracks. Fairly common problem that can cause squeeking.

Like Go48 mentioned... check for cracks.
Commonly on the upper-left side of the pedal just above the mounting bolts.
Here is a pic of a local 8's pedal that was showing signs of metal fatigue:

you should try your hand at being actually being helpful, instead of PMSing

I have the same problem, do you know if the dealer covers the cost even if the car is no longer under warranty, i mean there is a tsb for it.

usually the clutch is the only thing not covered by the warranty due to wear and tear just like your tires. I'm actually going through the same bs im going ot mazda today. Im sure theyll say i need the whole cluthc replaced because they need the money so kinda fucked no matter what u know what i mean!
