Spark plug issue

So i change the coils plugs and wires about 5k miles ago and the car has ran perfectly. Recently i started hearing a clicking type noise while idling so i looked under the hood and you can see the spark from the rear trailing plug to the plug wire. The wire is still attached. I took the wheel off took the wire off and resnapped it back in. No noise and car ran great. Once again couple days later i hear the noise and do the same thing. This keeps happening so im wondering if you guys think its the plug or the wire? Both look perfectly fine but i cant tell. Does anyone have a wire laying around that i could test so i dont have to buy a whole set? Ill order a new plug and see what happens

Likely just a defective plug wire if the spark is from the wire to the block.

Where did you get the wires from? Are they willing to let you send that one back for a replacement? All the vendors on the forum would, most Amazon vendors would, many ebay vendors wouldn't.

If you are out of pocket to replace the wire, the cheapest option might to be to just call up Magnacore and purchase a single wire. They will sell direct to the consumer and wire set, individual wires, or custom wires. I had them make me a set of custom wires for my Miata's ignition conversion, and found them exceedingly easy and pleasant to deal with. I mention them because I don't know of any other wire manufacturer or vendor that would sell just one wire.

Just one plug is easy to get, if it turns out to be the plug.
