Sourcing a front caliper bracket - seized slider pin's

2004 GT MT

While installing my new rotors, pads and SS lines, I found not just one, but BOTH slider pins on my front drivers side caliper seized solid.

I took the caliper bracket off and soaked the pins in PB Blaster. I let them sit for about 20 minutes then locked the bracket in a bench vise and went at it with a 17mm socket and a breaker bar. One of them managed to start spinning but I still couldn't pull it out but the other... well, I'll let the picture speak for itself.

So, I've called PepBoys and Autozone. They said they can order the caliper but NOT a bracket.. doesn't help me. Do I need to call a dealership? Any quicker way to source this part?

I suppose I would need to get new pins and grease boots as well, yes? :dunno:

Remanufactured calipers come with the brackets and pins and pads.

You are looking for a Loaded caliper.

The information they are giving you is incorrect

I wasn't going to start arguing with the guy at Pepboys about it. I found the correct one on the site you linked and bought it. I'll just eat the core charge. I just want to drive my car again!

Luckily I have a beater to get me to work the next few days. Thanks!

You should not have to "eat" the core charge, just as long
as you return the caliper and bracket.
