side marker bulb wont light up.

I replaced the bulb thinking it was burnt out but it still doesnt turn on..
Water got in the side marker.. possibly causing a short.. but the other side works perfectly..

which fuse could have gotten blown????? cant seem to find any,

Same thing for me. Idk what happened to mine but both side don't light up. I replaced both bulbs With the right model bulb, made sure everything was plugged in and in place but it still doesn't work. Anybody know what happened and how to fix this?

Yes, You need to replace the harness.. here is a link to them,

it ended up being the fuses 10A red. im not sure exactly which 1s but on the fuses box cover its like 4 in a row includes illumi and some other stuff. cant remember. its less that $5 at autozone for a pack of 5.

you do know that something has to happen in order to blow the fuse. so you need to figure out why the fuse blew

DarkHelmet 09-18-2010 02:10 PM

and how exactly do u suggest i do that? fuses can blow if they get old cant they?

If you had water get into your side marker housing. and water got into the connecter causing a short in the wiring.. Replace the little harness with a new one and you wont have this problem again

until water gets inside of it again...

DarkHelmet 09-19-2010 03:37 AM

eh...i think itll be alright. i washed my car earlier today and the side markers worked fine tonight. if it goes out again sometime in the near future then maybe ill look more into it. replacing the fuse is solution enough at this point since it works fine. thanks for the help everyone

If it happens again, get a can of zero-residue electronics cleaner and give the socket a spritz.
