Setting Clock and Temperature

I read the manual and it says to set the clock you press CLK and then SET but it doesnt tell me how to change the hour up or down. I figured this out before but im not sure now and I need to change t as the battery was removed. Also the temperature wont change from F to C. Again the manual says to hold AMB for 2 seconds and it does nothing no matter how long I hold it.

Any help appreciated

StealthTL May 18, 2011 03:16 PM

Hold 'Clock' - clock display starts to cycle thru options, 'set' to adjust.

Touch 'Amb', temp appears, hold and temp cycles *F/*C.

Ignition on, radio off.

Bail-Dawg May 18, 2011 03:25 PM

Radio was not off. that might be why it didnt work for the temp.
When im doing the clock, I hold Clock and it says 12 hr --- 24 hr. I press set and then the hour space flashes but nothing will make it go up or down. The set button does nothing and the clock button moves the flashing area to the minute space

you'll figure it out... lol

Press Clock to Increment the Clock

Bail-Dawg May 18, 2011 04:33 PM

The clock button chages what you changing hour/min it does not change the time up or down
also with regards to the temp. It is always showing I dont need to press AMB to see it like Stealthtl implied. ??

DeViLbOi May 18, 2011 04:35 PM

If the Clock button scrolls through the settings then it is the Set button that advances the settings.

Bail-Dawg May 18, 2011 04:44 PM

set button only works to select 12 hr then it does not work for anything after that

monchie May 19, 2011 12:50 AM

If you keep pushing and pushing and it's not responding, then it's probably not working properly or it's broken.

Bail-Dawg May 19, 2011 06:11 AM

thats what i thought but it works without fail for the 12 hr setting every time

<ARRXATE> May 26, 2011 06:41 AM

I am having same problems. haha, i couldn't tell you why its not working. I push the clock and then set and it just says 24 hr adjust or something along those lines. Nothing seems to work to change time anymore.. damn battery change. wish they could do it instantly.. [=

I've disconnected my battery ~15 times in the past 3 weeks. Reset my clock without fail every time. Hold Clock to get it in the set 12/24, tap Set to move to 12hr, tap clock to move to the hour, tap set to get to the right hour, tap clock to move to the minute, tap set to get it to the right minute, tap clock to back out of it.

Try this to set the clock.

I couldn't get mine to change for a whole year. I decided to just keep trying and I discovered that you press "clk" until it blinks and then press "set" as far in as you can, push long and hard;-)! This is what finally got mine to moving! Hope it works!

Changing time in rx8

Press and hold clk until you hear a beep.
press clk once to change hour, twice for min
once you have gotten to your selected option, press set until you're at correct time

Seems like some new members do that to get past the 10 post limit...

I have tried everything to get the Clock time to change. I did just as you mentioned above. It just doesn't move. I have pressed the SET key as hard as possible and held it in. I never had a problem before with setting the clock before and now just NOTHING! I think it's time for a piece of black electrical tape placed right over the time! I'll just use my cell phone....I give up! 😩

Had the same problem just this morning, simply trying to advance an hour for Daylight time... pressing set just doesn't work for adjusting the hour or minute. Done it a hundred times (165K miles) , don't need any instruction on how to do it, but the bleeping thing simply doesn't work for that function any more. Looks like nobody here has an answer... just have to live with being an hour off, I guess. Truly bizarre. But then, it's an RX8...
