scratching sound from my wheel
changed the brakes and bearing on my wheels and now one of them is making a scratching noise about 60% of the time...sound speeds up and slows down with speed so it's definitely the wheels
maybe the new Hawk Ceramic pad...maybe the new bearing any ideas? |

To be quite honest I haven't changed my pads yet so I am not too sure, but in looking at some DIY's i did see some people reporting the same issue. I think it had to do with not properly seating the pad, or pushing back the piston enough. I'm sure you can find the answer if you search for the brake pad diy's

I had an issue with the Hawk Ceramic pads for the rear in which the pad actually rubbed the hub because of their poor design. I had brake dust everywhere until this summer when they finally wore down far enough. Best thing to do would be to leave the car in Neutral and jack up each tire and spin them until you find the one rubbing.
