rx8 engine power failure

please help! can anyone confirm my engine is about to die, 1 week ago i noticed a lack of power, ie am having to down change gears or the car rumbles and no power. the car will still redline ok, there have been no warning lights, was serviced 2000 miles ago and had been running ok but this problem is slowly getting worse. 04 192 with 65000 miles. power is rubbish up to 3000rpm then reasonable?:scared:

If you just recently got it serviced, you should take it back. Best to leave it in Mazda's hands if you're not entirely sure on what the problem is.

If you feel up to it, and dont think you can cause any further damage or create damage where there isnt any, you can start with the basics:

Checking Ignition Coils for failure or misfiring in either chamber
Checking Plugs (residue etc)
Checking Air-intake, make sure there arent any tears or so after the sensor. Otherwise the sensor wont function and could cause the car to idle funky or even turn off / lack of power.
Test your battery voltage
Test the alternator, make sure the regulator is functional.

But again, if you just serviced it, take it back to Mazda and have them run compression tests, decardbination with the "zoom-zoom" product.
