RX8 Driven Through Flooded Street-- Won't Start~~~ HELP!!!
 
This weeked I drove my RX-8 through a flooded street about 10" high. The car shut off completely. Now car sits in my driveway, will crank but no start. what can I do??? Please give advice....

First, shame on you.
Now that that is over, you need to get a code reader that connects to the ODB II CAN bus and see what kind of codes are coming from the ECU.
It is possible that water got splashed into and fried the ECU. :(

If your running a CAI (cold air induction) mod on the vehicle it probably inhaled water through the intake and into the motor. If you pushed enough water up high enough in the engine compartment it could have inhaled water through the standard air filter box too.

If you haven't fried any electronics as Al Nielsen suggests, which is also very possible, your first step to recovery is probably to try deflood procedures to get the chambers dried out and relubricated so you can get combustion firing again in the chambers.
