Replacing coils and wires
Hi,
I did my plugs around a month ago. I am thinking f replacing my coils. While I am at it I thought I would replace my plug wires also. I saw the DIY on the coils, seems very straight forward even for my lack of skills :) . My question is on the parts... I see OEM are around $30 from stealership. I see E-Bay auctions going for around $30 a piece plus shipping. I also see racing beat has them for $45 plus shipping. Same price variations on the plug wires. RB=$100, EOM (going from memory)=$30. Now I use this as a daily driver, no track or autoexe. Question, am I really going to see a return/payoff for using higher end parts or am I wasting money? Also my car is an......auto so redline is only 7K instead of 9K. I think this will make a difference in the answer. Thank you, Brian |
what higher end parts ? the 3 places u mention are selling the EXACT same thing.
its just that ... http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...layCatalogid=0 or http://www.finishlineperformance.com...cat=273&page=1 |
what higher end parts ? the 3 places u mention are selling the EXACT same thing. $99 set of wires (Non OEM): http://www.racingbeat.com/FRmazda4.htm OEM $59 wires: http://www.finishlineperformance.com...cat=273&page=2 OEM coil $26.95 : http://www.finishlineperformance.com...cat=273&page=1 Racing beat coils (Non OEM) $44.75 : Rx8 Ignition Coil RX8M1018 FLP Rx8 Ignition Coil Factory Replacement - Sold as Each $44.75 So I am thinking going OEM but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. I know the non OEM are a better part but for daily driving 7K redline is it worth the difference in price and the part? Thank you, Brian |
