Replacing breather hoses
 

Looks like my 3 breather hose from the intake are starting to crack, enough for air to leak out. Purchased replacement hoses last week, but after looking around in the engine bay, two of the hoses that go to the intake manifold seem hard to reach and replace.

Couldn't find a DIY on how to get these replaced, so wanted to see if anyone did this before and has some insight?

The hose going to the oil fill tube is obviously easy, but the other two just appear so far buried into the engine bay.

Any updates on this? I may have to do the same as one of mine is cracked slightly, but it is the hard to reach one. I have a Series 2, so I have only two breather hoses.

Where did you get your replacement hoses and for how much?

I was already looking on those websites earlier, and ended up buying them from my local dealer "Special Order".

I attached the two diagrams I used to locate the part (Trying to see if the attach this time). Mine are just cracked at the bend, possibly due to heat or stress, but I just wanted to replace them while I troubleshot this major power loss at high RPM.

If you look at the first diagram, I wanted those two hoses that connect to the intake connector that attaches to the throttle body. So it would be the two hoses connecting to the 13-758 connectors, but I have an AEM CAI, so no need for the connectors.

Hose 20-342B = $16.45 on that website. $20.89 local dealer.
Hose 20-441A = $7.92 on that website. #10.79 local dealer.

I could have bought it from that website, but cost with Tax/Shipping was more than buying it at local dealer who charged a lot more.

One of the other two hoses goes to the OMP nozzles, the other goes to the LIM for fuel mixing air. To replace them you will need to remove your upper intake manifold and I think your oil filler assembly. It's pretty involve, but with a few extensions and universal joints it's completely doable. Just take your time and don't drop anything. All the bolts/nuts involved are 10mm, and if something doesn't seem free then you missed a bolt.

yup, especially the two bolts on the underside of the UIM that hold the metal plate that has clips for the fuel lines ....those are a b!tch to remove when you have big hands :(
