Replaced my radiator, and broke my A/C
I wanted to cry when i watched freon spewing out of my a/c line. Here's what happened - i was trying to move things out of the way to facilitate removing the radiator. A friend of mine recommended that i loosen a bolt on top of my a/c line (i'm retarded at this - i think its called the high pressure side). Anyway, instead of loosening the bracket's nut, i loosened a nut on the line itself. It's the spot where you can recharge the a/c system, just to the left of the coolant reservoir. Yea, i loosened that nut and all this freon came out all of a sudden - we couldn't tighten the bolt down enough to stop the leak until there probably wasn't any freon left.
Sigh... So now how do i fix that? Do i need to just take it in to Mazda and have them tighten whatever i messed up and vacuum/recharge the system? The guy i was working with works on a/c and has a vacuum kit, but i dont know what we did to that bolt or if we got it tight again. Suggestions? Insults? |
Tighten whatever you messed up and vacuum/recharge the system.
