recall on tailights
Unfortunately
I don't think so when I was buying my 04 it sounded like the only recall still in affect is for the engine. I have the same issue and I tried to get my dealership I bought it from to fix it but they weren't really helpful being a Ford dealership. They resealed it and it still has the same issues.
Here is the complete list of Mazda recalls for the RX-8:
You are referring to a TSB.
A TSB is NOT a recall.
A TSB is just a set of instructions to the dealer telling the techs how to fix a particular problem. IF, repeat IF, you have a warranty that would apply to the fix, then you would have warranty coverage on that fix. If you are outside of coverage, the TSB still tells the techs how to fix it, but you are going to get charged for the fix.
Tail lights were under the bumper to bumper warranty, which was 3 years 36,000 miles. You are long past that warranty. You can still have them fix it, but you will pay for it. Alternatively, you can fix it yourself for nearly free with one of the DIYs in the DIY section.

Well ... that is if you select 2005
Any other year seems to work but if I pick 2005 there is no RX8 model in the selection drop down.
I think he means this thread: https://www.rx8club.com/trouble-shoo...letins-183774/
