Radiator Light...?

Not sure why exactly it is coming on. Makes an appearance after the car is warmed up, then ran on say 95 in 5th about 80mph after about 5minutes. Doesn't make much sense to me, reservoir is full, though fluid seems darker than I remember it ( a year ago?). Thinking about draining, flushing and refilling to see if that would fix the problem. Any ideas of what it might be? ECU problem of somesort...? Also, the larger radiator hoses (on other cars) when can be squeezed together easily seems to indicate a breakdown of the tube and needs to be replaced, which mine is very squeezable/spongey. Anyone else confirm that this is true? 8 has about 45,000 miles. Stopped going to the dealer at about 20,000 miles after they charged me 1000$ for new tires, as well as they told me I needed new brakes all were down to about 2mm (which was very untrue, just replaced them 2 weekends ago, and only one was down to about 3mm, 25000 miles later), as well as my clutch started to make a slipping sensation when starting in first and accelerating in a forward motion with the wheel turned. Oh, and my fan doesn't seem to kick on after running for a while, I use to hear it run all the time, now I don't hear it... possible problem?
Ha, this question seems like more of a complaint/statement/inquiry. ANY and ALL help is greatly appreciated.

Cool. So, I should really just ignore it. What about the fan...? Ever have an mass complaints of a fan failure?

a fix for the coolant bottle

After reading this whole thread feeling encouraged I took my 07 with less than 50K on it to the dealer.
The dealer wanted $400 to fix it as my car was not under warranty. This ticks me off seeing how older cars than mine are still covered and Mazda knows of the problem and their price for their problem bottle is way out of line.:cussing:
After taking the car home I decided to try cleaning it. After removing it and cleaning, it still didn't work. After seeing the magnetic float sitting on the bottom of a full tank it wasn't hard to figure out I need to add more flotation to it. So I drilled a hole in the tank so I could try the ship-in-the-bottle trick. I then glued some cork (from a bottle of wine) to the sides of the float. Using the washer with the sides trimmed off to fit in the hole. I glued a rubber gasket and used sealant to seal it from the inside due to the pressure in the tank. After a pressure test I filled it with coolant and the float was floating again.
I think the reason the reason the original float sinks after awhile is the rubbing away the material from the hole of the float as it rubs on the center shaft.
Not sure how long this fix will last but after three weeks it still works perfect. :yesnod:
