Probelm after problem misfires and leaks

Well im getting in a total state now my 8 seems like she is ready to die its just problem after problem and I seem to be getting nowhere resolving it so here is my issues and hopefully someone can say yes your problem is.........

Right I should begin by saying all my issues started no long after my rebuild which will be a year and a half ago, to start with I had a rattle from the exhaust which wasnt terrible but it was annoying me then I developed a high pitch metalic rattle when reving above 5000rpm this was all in the first month then shortly after I started getting misfires in the mornings no pattern and only in the morning ontop of this I was losing coolant slowly, a month or 2 later and a track day I realised I was emptying my catch can of milky oil every 2-3 weeks anyway I took her back to the garage who said it will be the coils plugs and leads (I tried both oem leads and coils and I have a BHR kit also plugs are new) , they kept her for a week or so and said she had no misfires despite me saying the symptoms point to a seal failure which was shut down straight away but to be safe some K seal was put in to fill any leaky hoses.
This cure all 3 issues straight away so not coils plugs and leads anyway she has been starting fine and running ok apart from the metallic rattle .
So the other day I pulled out my road and I had a blip in the power so I eased of then pulled away again but it blipped again so I pulled over I also noticed the steering was off (stiff one way loose the other) anyway I had a look under the hood no sign of issues oil was fine coolant was there so I carried on the power seemed to be ok but I didnt push it I pulled over shortly switched of but when I started again the power-steering was dead and I had an EPS code and my steering light was on .
I managed to carry on making it to work (holly hell did I notice those 9.5" wheels).
I left it there for a couple days as I had just bought an FD so I used that until I could get the 8 in for the steering but ironically the FD developed braking issues forcing me back into the 8 but happy days the steering was back but this was short lived as I drove home finding I had next to no power I was revving upto 8k in 4th and could only do 40-50 also the metallic rattle was there at lower revs , I managed to get her home and I checked leads and plugs I also re-installed my BHR kit which helped at first but 10 minutes later I was getting a flashing cel P0302 oh and the power steering died again.

And thats it I am taking her back tomorrow but I dont know what they will say:wallbash:

Oh and sorry about the poor grammar and punctuation my heads just not in it atm.

The rattling is the catalytic converter. It's breaking up inside and clogging the exhaust. FYI, you may be damaging your engine by driving it. The misfires and milky oil sound like the result of an internal coolant/water jacket seal failure. I'm not sure, however, if the milky oil in the catch can could just be like the milky oil on the dipstick and be normal. The K seal isn't going to permanently fix the problem, so in the end you're looking at another rebuild. You could, however, just have a leaky hose and be losing coolant that way. When it was misfiring, did you notice any sweet smell or see any steam coming out of the exhaust? If the K seal fixed the misfiring, then it sounds like an internal seal failure for sure. They only way to know for sure is to have your oil checked for the presence of coolant. The power loss could be caused by the coolant seal problem and resulting compression loss, or it could be caused by the collapsing cat/clogging exhaust. The power steering issue is more than likely just a dirty power steering wiring harness. Do a search and you'll find the thread describing how to clean it.

The first thing you need to do is hollow/empty the cat out so your exhaust isn't clogged and you don't continue to damage your engine, and so you can see if it is the cause of your power loss. Then you could clean your PS connections, and just go from there

Thanks for the reply and I probably should have said I have a decat.

Do you have a midpipe or just a hollowed-out cat? Did it break up inside when you still had it? If so, then you may have pieces of it caught in the exhaust pipe and muffler like I did

it is a hollowed out BHR HF cat but I got it all out 100% sure of that and ive been running it like that since Jan
