PPF adjustment bolt on front tunnel member

I was going to check the bolt length to see if it needed adjusted and when i got under the car to check it. The bolt is missing, if I am looking in the right spot.

To to make sure i am lookin at the right thing, is the red arrow pointing to the right bolt.
If so is this a specail bolt or will any M12x1.25 work?

Thanks in advance,

The bolt doesn't stay there, you just use to for the adjustment and yes any M12x1.25 bolt will work. If you can't find one locally (took me some running around before I found a hardware store that had one) try a lug bolt for a BMW or Audi.

Thanks, that explains why it was missing :yelrotflm

So I should just measure the distance and as long as it is within 48.4-56.4 mm then it is fine. If it isn't then I have to loosen the PPF and put a bolt in there till it is at the right spot. Then tighten it all back up according to workshop manual

Well I went out and measured it and it looks like it is within limits. It could be a little more or less since i couldn't find my micrometer. I used a metal ruler and looked at it like 20 times or so.

I did go out and shop to find a m12-1.25x55 hex full thread but only thing i could find that was a M12-1.25 x 55 full thread was a Socket Cap Screw at lowes, which i did buy a couple just in case i needed one. (can never have too many extra bolts, screws or ect. on hand)

I'm pretty sure the shop manual says you can alternatively jack up the transmission to get it into the correct position.
