RX8Club.com - Power steering thread

Hello guys. I know there is a lot of information about the failure of power steering on this forum and I did read them. But I am present my problem so hopefully I can get some help for my power steering issue. I replaced my battery one day. The car had no power steering problems before this replacement. After I replaced the battery, there was no power steering. I then researched on the forums and tried the clean connectors with di electric grease and other things. I then took it to a shop that tried to solder the connectors under the air box. I took it to the mazda dealership first but they said they would not work on the car because it was 6 years old and they had no history of the car? I was a little shocked when I heard this because what I got from the other threads is that I had to take it to the dealer so they could do something with the computer. So I am now wondering what I can do to get a mazda dealer to take a look at it to try to get the power steering fixed. Any suggestions please? I am in the Newport News area for a while due to a new duty station. Thanks for the help guys.
