I know almost half of you are going to go "oh clean the connectors" unfortunately I have already done that, I know that you can order a part that might "fix the power steering" but i really need to get this down. I really need this fixed, with college coming up, and still having to pay the car every month i really can't afford to take it to the stealership. I had a mechanic come and look at it and gave him the service manual for the car, and he still doesn't know what the deal is.

Like most peoples issue the power steering just doesn't work, sometimes if i start it cold it works for about 5 minutes, but other than that it's just dead. I just need to get this thing back up, cause its a major PITA to drive atm.

OSducky, it's most likely the harness.
some people re-solder the connections, others build new ones, some just order the new wire harness.

Mine went out on Friday night, I ordered part #F15167SH0D and hoping that helps out.

 

It could be the harness, absolutely. Can you atleast afford to have the stealership find out what the problem is, I mean I know that they will probably charge a lot but it might be worth it and then you can know what to save for and fix it later but no power steering can be a bitch.
