Potential problem

I just recently changed my trailing plugs and installed the mazdatrix coil wires. the wires were installed to where the shorter ones ended up on the back rotor and the longer ones ended up on the front rotor. This will be changed out this tuesday when i get my new coils.

i swear i haven't hear this distinct clicking sound before i did these installs. can anyone listen to the videoclip of engine idle and tell me if i have any problem? thanks.

fyi : i also have noticed that i lost the 2 rubber gaskets on the intake box on the bottom, and cannot locate them. however my fan is still spinning.

concerns:

1) clicking noise
2) mucho vibration of engine.

yep that would be a plug wire not making contact, take a wire off and start the car tell me what happens :P

also explains the vibration. Make sure the wires are in the right spot, on the plug all the way, and connected to the coil all the way. That clicking is the spark going out the end of the plug wire and popping. Now you know how fast your spark plugs fire :P

lol, dude thanks man. i rushed out and checked it

1) the Trailing plug i replaced was not properly torqued down (they were loose)
2) one of the wire was not securely attached to the plugs and another was not very secure on the coil

so i went ahead and swapped the wire to the proper locations and torqued down the spark plugs, now its idling much much better, thanks.

Yes you can drive. you have two of three. Get the bolt from the dealer.
