Thread bump. Closest thread i could find. I'm about to buy some new brake fluid. How much would i need to get to do the whole system?
|
It can vary depending on how much air you have. If it's cheap just buy the big bottle, otherwise two regular bottles (I think they're pints) should do the trick.
|
There isn't any air in the system, i just want to put some new, fresh fluid in.
|
If you're just pushing a little out, one pint will be more than enough.
Unless you want to replace the whole system, then you could go crazy and need two :) |
lol. I only ask because I'm going to use Gulf Competition RF1000 Racing brake Fluid and it's only sold in 500ml and it's quite expensive. The company i plan on getting it from do a special offer if you get 3 (1.5 litres - 3.17 pints - 1.585 Quarts)

Well you'll want a bit to make sure you get rid of all the old fluid, but there should be more than enough, plus some extra to bleed off some more throughout the year.
If you are tracking and boiling your fluid, it is an excellent purchase to get a good fluid. If you are not tracking, then your cheapo DOT 3 from autozone is perfect. |
