Popping/ Clunking when car turns right or left
Good afternoon everyone, i searched for this issue and did come across some threads but none of them offered a solution. Here is the issue I am having with the 8. The car makes a pop/clunk whenever i turn right or left while driving the vehicle. It will make it over and over if i swerve the vehicle left to right to make the noise apparent. I have replaced all of the shocks (kyb gas-a-shock) along with the hardware attached to it (bump stops, rubber bushings, bearing sleeve - all KYB brand). The springs being ran are Tein H tech which have a minor drop in front -1 inch and -.3 in the rear.The car handles and grips much better as the rear shocks were gone and fronts were decent, The popping sound remains and I am thinking it might be the upper control arm as the bottom control arms are both brand new since I took in the vehicle for the recall (previous owners never did it). Anyone have some insight on this issue or experienced it to pass on their personal experience. Thank you all in advance! = )

One thing that jumps out is the LCAs were replaced. I had similar sounds after LCA replacement that wasn't tightened correctly. I don't remember the correct procedure, but tightening then properly fixed the popping. The car needed to be on a lift to diagnose this, as with weight one wheels everything feels snug.

Thank you guys for the replies. My apologies for not being more detailed. So the sound comes from the front shocks area. This is why I replaced the bearings and rubber bushings when installing the new shocks; as this fixed the clunking I was hearing in the rear. The LCA was installed at the Mazda dealership so I would hope they torqued it to spec. I can double check the torque this weekend. The upper control arm was torqued to spec as I had to remove it when installing the shocks. Do the UCA go out on the regular? I was thinking it might be the area that is pressed in with the bolt and bushing. If they are known to go out, it would not be a bad idea to replace it with an oem or aftermarket that has camber adjustment.
