Please Help..RPM on engine shut down??
Im new to this site and new to the rotary engines.. I bought an 8 last week and the dealer insist that i rev the engine for a few scond around 3000 then all the way up to about 7000 RPMs just as im turning the engine off??? I just cant find any good answer definativley.. and this is a warm engine, not cold that im questioning.. please help??:Eyecrazy:

....don't do it. You can rev the engine to 3k and shut down, even on a warm engine, but that's just extra gas. 7k, and you're just being silly/noisy.
On a cold engine, you're better off getting the engine warmed up completely. |

If you rev to 3k on a warm engine its completely useless. Your dealer meant this: Rev to 3k rpm for 10 secs if youre going to shut it down on a cold engine. If you gonna shut it down on a warm engine. Let it idle 5-10 secs and turn it off. I havent flooded the car since i have it. |
With the new / up to date flash you dont need to rev the car up before you turn it off.
